Hi, my Chapter 7 is due to be discharged anyday (possibly tomorrow?) now and I am thinking of making a career change. I have been self employed for the past 12 years as a real estate appraiser and before that I worked in consumer finance/mortgage lending for about 15 years. I am thinking of pursuing a new career in property insurance adjusting as it should be a good match for my particular skill set. Is there anyone out there with some knowledge of how a bankruptcy might effect employment opportunities at an insurance company? Will a BK eliminate any chances I have?
